Embrace Wisdom · Saturday, May 26th · by Pastor Chris

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her (Proverbs 4:7-8).
Pastor ChrisThe Word of God is the wisdom of God. So, the way to embrace wisdom is to embrace the Word. When the Bible says to get wisdom, you’re actually being directed to the Word, because wisdom comes from God through the Word. Wisdom is the principal thing; it’s what you need to be successful in life.
Now you can understand why of all things in life that Solomon could have asked for, when God visited him, he asked for wisdom (2 Chronicles 1:10-12). He knew that with wisdom, he had it made, because wisdom is a force. The wisdom of God is the power that influences your choices, and is the guiding force of your life.
When you embrace wisdom, you embrace a whole lot of other great blessings from God. Notice again the latter part of our opening verse: "Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her." This let’s you know what the wisdom of God will do in your life; it will promote you and bring you to honour. It’s like what happened with Solomon after he asked God for wisdom. Apart from wisdom, God granted him riches, wealth, and honour beyond any king that ever lived on the face of the earth (2 Chronicles 1:12).
The Bible says, Christ has been made unto us wisdom from God (1 Corinthians 1:30); that means you don’t need to pray to God to grant you wisdom. The wisdom of God is already in your spirit; all you have to do is fellowship with wisdom by fellowshipping with the Word. Now say this: "The wisdom of God is at work in me; it’s in my heart and in my mouth today! It’s heard in my voice and seen in my actions, in the Name of Jesus."
Confession
The wisdom of God is working in me; it’s in my heart and in my mouth today; and I’m growing in wisdom through the Word of God. I’m successful and deal wisely in the affairs of life because I’ve embraced wisdom; therefore wealth, honour and durable riches are mine, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.
