Facts For Now! • Thursday 07

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).
There’re certain truths about the new creation which, as Christians, we must be conscious of and live by. These are not promises but established truths in God’s Word—present hour realities. One of such is our opening verse above. When you received Christ into your life, you became a new creation. "If any man be in Christ, he ‘is’ a new creation." "Is" is a "now" word—a present-hour reality! You’re not going to be a new creation when you get to heaven; you’re a new creation now! Your new life started the day you made Jesus Lord of Your life.
An important truth in our Kingdom is about the Word as God’s cleansing material and agent of change. Jesus said in John 15:3, "Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you." It doesn’t matter the depth of a man’s sin; if he would give attention to God’s Word, he’ll be cleansed. God’s Word cleanses your system of all unrighteousness and every anomaly, sickness and disease inclusive.
Another of such glorious realities is that we’re heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ! "And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together" (Romans 8:17). To be a joint-heir with Christ means everything that belongs to Him belongs to you, in the same way and degree that it belongs to Him. Both of you own everything hundred per cent together. Therefore, like Him, you’ve also been appointed heir of all things. No wonder Paul said, "…all things are yours" (1 Corinthians 3:21).
The Lord Jesus took your place of sin and condemnation that you might become the righteousness of God in Christ. Now, you’re one with Him, having His life and nature in your spirit. These and more are present-hour realities of who you are, and your placement in Christ. Study the Word to know more, and take a hold of your inheritance in Christ!
Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you for the unveiling of your Word to my spirit, granting me wisdom and insight to your perfect will for me. I walk in the consciousness of who I am in Christ, affirming that I’m more than a conqueror through Him that loved me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Displaying His Virtues And Perfections…. ·Wednesday 09

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9).

Our opening verse isn’t a promise, but a statement of fact and instruction. Reading it in the Amplified version is even more inspiring: "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light." This is the purpose for which God has called you: you’re called to display the virtues and perfections of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light!
Humility is a virtue; boldness is a virtue; faith and hope are virtues. These are examples of the virtues God has called you to manifest, not in the sweet by and by, but here on earth. Galatians 5:22-23 says, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law." These are more virtues that God desires you to display to your world.
As new creations in Christ Jesus, we’re peculiar; we’re the first fruits; that means, the first and the best of God’s creatures: "Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first-fruits of his creatures" (James 1:18). You’re the crowning glory, and the highest of everything God made.
God created you so He would manifest His beauty, holiness, grace, glory, excellence, and righteousness through you. He’s counting on you to bring the unconverted to the knowledge of His saving power. He wants you to bring them to the light of His Word through the way you live, the things you do, and the words you speak. As you daily display His virtues and perfections, their hearts will turn towards Him to receive salvation.
Prayer
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has made me a wonder, and a vessel to show forth His wonderful deeds to my world. His beauty, excellence, glory, honour and splendour are manifest for the world to see through me, and many come to the brightness of my rising, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
