“..I will not overthrow this city for which you have spoken” (Gen 19:21)
“..God has granted you all those who sail with you” (Acts 27:24)
Wherever you are placed by God is protected because of you! Whether it is a place like Sodom and Gomorrah or hostile environment The above stories testifies that! The first story was about Lot. The angels urged Lot and his family to escape from the great judgment God was about to release over Sodom and Gomorrah. He was asked to escape to the mountains. Since the mountains are far and he feared any evil would overtake him, he pleaded to go to the near by city. That city was spared from destruction because of him. Remember what God told Abraham : “if I find fifty (45, 40, 30, 20, and 10) righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes” (Gen 18:26-32). How much more to the New Testament beleivers – we are the righteous in Christ.
We are all like to work in a pleasant environments with friendly people. But when we face just the contrary we think we are in the wrong place. We want to escape! ‘God engineers our circumstances and designs our destiny. Sometime they don’t look they are God’s very plan. We then try to escape! Because of Lot, the city of Zoar was spared from the judgment of God.
Also the story of Paul in acts 27:24, Paul was strengthened by the message of the Angel and comfort those who were in the ship saying: : “and now I urge you to take heart, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only the ship. For there stood by me this night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve, saying, “do not be afraid, Paul; you must be brought before Caesar; and indeed GOD HAS GRANTED YOU ALL THOSE WHO SAIL WITH YOU” (Acts 27:22-24). Because of Paul God protected all those who sailed with him. Isn’t it wonderful! What a privilege to be wherever we are and be a blessing to those around us! We are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus! We are on earth for God’s divine purpose. See all things through this light! Never try to escape from wherever you find yourself in unless God commands you to escape!
When you walk in this divine insight of God’s purpose for your life, you will surely save the communities, families and nations from disasters. Endure hardship and make yourself available for God’s purpose to accomplish through you. Pray for those who around you whether they recognize you or appreciate you. Remember we are commanded to pray; make supplications, intercessions and give thanks for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverance. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Tim 2:1-4).
Be a history maker and a world changer! Your very presence will keep the evil away; spare the nation from destruction! Amen. You have a wonderful day! God bless.
