Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (Ephesians 6:13).
When God asks you to do something, and then trouble
comes because of what He told you to do, you don’t cower; you remain standing
on the Word because you know He sent you. The fact that He sent you doesn’t
mean there’ll be no trouble. In Exodus 14, when God told Moses to bring the
children of Israel out of Egypt, what He didn’t tell Moses was that they’d be
hemmed in between Pharaoh’s charging chariots and the Red Sea. But right there,
God said, "Moses, stretch your hand over the water and divide it!"
Moses did, and the miracle of miracles took place; the Red Sea parted before
them, and the children of Israel walked through on dry ground.
Just because you’ve come to a place where the Red
Sea is before you, and the enemy is behind you, doesn’t mean God didn’t send
you or He’s not with you. If He sent you, He’s with you, and in the midst of
that adversity He wants you to remain standing on His Word! He says in 1
Corinthians 15:58, "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast,
unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord…."
Focus your life on what God has called you to do and
don’t be distracted by the challenges that may come your way. When you focus
like that and remain standing on the Word, you’ll find that irrespective of the
oppositions or difficult situations, there’s always a miracle for you.
Prayer
Dear Father, I’m yielded to the ministry of your Word and the guidance of your Spirit today! Therefore, I refuse to be swayed by oppositions, but I’m focused on your Word which cannot fail. I have the victory over all circumstances, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
