Pastor Chris
That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every
good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus (Philemon 1:6).

The first is "communication," which is translated from the Greek word "koinonia"; and it means fellowship or participation. The second word is "effectual," which means to become active or operative. It derives from the Greek word "energĕs." The Lord wants your participation or fellowship in the faith to become active; he wants your life to transcend the limitation of the natural laws through the acknowledging of every good thing, which is in you in Christ Jesus.
The third word I want to highlight is "acknowledging," and it’s from the Greek word "epignosis." "Epignosis" is full discernment and recognition of spiritual realities. Therefore, in Philemon 1:6, the Lord is saying that your participation or fellowship in the Gospel of Christ will become effective (active and operative) through your acknowledging (full and absolute knowledge) of every good thing that you have in your spirit by virtue of your faith in Jesus Christ.
For the Lord to say this means He has deposited treasures in your spirit. He has imparted to you amazing power and ability that if activated or acted upon will cause you to live the transcendent life in this world. Some Christians aren’t effective in their faith-walk because they haven’t acknowledged the good treasures of the Spirit, deposited in them by virtue of their union with Christ. There’re good things in you; treasures of inestimable value and wealth untold. 2 Corinthians 4:7 says, "…we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us." Get to know the good things in you by studying God’s Word and you’ll be effective in your faith life.
Prayer
Precious Father, I thank you for the great blessings and glorious things that you’ve deposited in me in Christ Jesus. I acknowledge your life that’s in my spirit and the gift of righteousness, peace and joy that you’ve granted me! I’m blessed beyond measure, and my participation in the faith life shall continually be effectual in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
