For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him (2 Corinthians 5:21).
Christians are not people who don’t do wrong; rather, they’re those whose wrongs have been charged to the account of Jesus. In the world today, many are living in guilt and condemnation on account of their sins. If they only knew that all their sins were laid on Jesus! The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:19, "To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation."
God isn’t mad at you on account of your sins; just repent of them; that’s all He asks: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Now you can live without a sense of condemnation, guilt, fear or inferiority because Jesus stands in the presence of the Father in your behalf. Blessed truth! Hebrews 9:24 says,"For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us."
No wonder the Spirit of God, through the Apostle Paul declares in Romans 8:1 "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." The Lord Jesus has paid the full price for your sins; past, present and future. He is the propitiation for your sins, and that of the whole world. This is why we must preach the Gospel, so the people of the world will know what God has done for them in Christ, and believe. Whosoever believes is justified from all sins and is made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you for the beauty of your righteousness and the glorious life you’ve given me. I go forth to bless my world with the glorious news of the Gospel, knowing that salvation will be wrought in the lives of those you’ve ordained me to reach, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
