“therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life” (Rom 6:4).
First John 5:12 says, “He who has the Son has life.” Man is a spirit; he has a soul and he lives in a body. When we first born-again our human life has been supplanted by the divine life of God whether we are aware of it or not; this is the Truth. We walk in newness of life because we were crucified with Christ; buried with Him through baptism into death and rose up with Him a brand new person. As I wrote before I repeat again: “that anything has life will grow! Look at all God’s creatures! What am I saying? This new man has new life! He will live, walk and behave in newness of life too.
The Amplified version of Rom 6:4 explains very well. “We were buried therefore with Him by the baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious (power) of the Father, so we too might (habitually), live and behave in newness of life.” The New Man not only lives this new life but also behave in newness of life. This life carries the nature of Christ. This life has supplanted our human life. We are God-kind! No wonder why the Bible says: “we are peculiar people,” royal priesthood!” We are not ordinary but peculiar kind of people.
What Bible says about this New Man? We are chosen generation and foreordained people adopted by God as His own children through Jesus Christ. God’s Word reveal who we are as we see read. We are His temple. He resides in us. Jesus paid the painful price for each one of us to live a victorious, prosperous and abundant life. We are not disadvantaged people but privileged ones. We are more than conquerors and we triumph in Christ always, wherever we go!
I don’t know how you see your life! We should see ourselves in the light of God’s Word. We live a privileged life. The more you go through the epistles of Paul you will know the revelation Paul wrote about the New Man. Don’t live a low life! This life in us can not afford to be wasted away! Know who is in you and what is in you! Live in the reality of the New Man in you. This life never bow to this world’s system but live above it! This is a higher life in Christ. Amen.
May the ministry of the Holy Spirit in your life unveil the eye of your understanding and enable you to live the Life He destined for you. You have a wonderful day!
