God’s Word Is A Seed

Luke 8:11

“Now the parable is this: the seed is the Word of God.”

We are born of this Word of God: “having been born again, not of corruptible seed but in-corruptible, through the Word of God which lives and abides forever” (1 Pet 1:23). Naturally every seed carries life so as the Word of God.  Jesus said in John 6:63, “it is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are lift.” Therefore if you sow God’s Word in your heart you sow life!  What a man sow is what he reaps! “For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life” (Gal 6:8).

What are you sowing in your life? Are you sowing to your own flesh? If you sow what your natural senses feed you will reap destruction. Sowing fear, anxieties, and discouragements in your heart will produce death! “Out of the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks” (Mat 12:34). You can sow ‘death’ or ‘life’! For “death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it” (for death or life) (Proverbs 18:21). 

God’s Word is final and infallible! It endures forever! Treasure it in your heart and meditate them.  Let it gain root in your heart and take dominion over your thoughts and affect your mouth – I mean, until you speak Life and not death! God’s Word is a seed! God provides seed for the sower.  He, who sows sparingly and grudgingly, will also reap sparingly and grudgingly, and he who sows generously will also reap generously and with blessings.  Your blessing is in the seed – the Word of God and it is in your hand.  What are you planning to do with the seed in your hand? If you sow then expect your harvest! (Confessing God’s Word is powerful! WHAT YOU BELIEVE IS WHAT YOU SAY AND WHAT YOU SAY IS WHAT YOU GET!)

Confess this with me: I am born from above.  I am born of the incorruptible seed of the Word of God! I have life in me! I speak God’s Word and I am sowing Life! I speak life to my finance, family, neighbor, community and over all the nations! I refuse to speak sickness, fear, poverty and death! I am going to have a great harvest today! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
