Don’t burn out; keep yourselves fueled and
aflame…(Romans 12:11 MSG).
Many Christians often seek to know what more they
could do to be continually filled with the anointing. It brings to mind an
interesting question from a dear viewer during one of our Live TV programmes.
He asked, "Pastor Chris, when I’m in fellowship meetings, I feel the
anointing so strong, but the moment I leave, it’s like it reduces. What do I do
to maintain this glorious presence that enraptured me during those
meetings?"
Ephesians 5:18 gives us a clear answer; it says,
"And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the
Spirit." The literal meaning of this verse is "be being filled with
the Spirit," which means it’ll be an unending experience. You’ve got a
responsibility in this; and in verses nineteen to twenty-one, the Spirit,
through the Apostle Paul, explains your role in maintaining the glow of the
Spirit in your life. It’s by "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns
and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our
Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of
God."
You can be continually filled with the Spirit and
experience that glorious warmth and awesome power of His manifested presence
everywhere you go, twenty-four hours every day, and at every moment! That’s the
life we’ve been called to live. You can make it happen repeatedly by acting on
those inspiring verses we read in Ephesians 5:19-21. Every so often, meditate
on the Word, speak to yourself in psalms, hymns, spiritual songs, and make
melody in your heart to the Lord! To learn more on the subject, visit
www.christembassyonlinestore.org and order our teaching titled: "Be Filled
With The Spirit."
It makes no difference if you’ve found yourself in
a terrible predicament; once you set yourself to be continually filled with the
Spirit, there’ll be supernatural changes and miracles in your life and
circumstances that’ll defy human reasoning.
Prayer
Dear Father, thank you for making it possible for
me to be filled with the Holy Spirit every time and every day. By this singular
privilege, I reign and rule in life by Christ, whose power and glory are
revealed in, and through, me today and always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
