Pastor
Chris
For if
they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of
none effect (Romans 4:14).
Faith is made void by
trusting in your works. Some have made their faith void, and the promise of God
in their lives of none effect, because they didn’t understand the accurate
basis for their faith. For example, there’re those who think that the reason
they ought to be living in divine health, or have excellent finances is because
of certain things they’ve been "doing" right; but that’s wrong. That’ll
mean trusting in your works; and the Bible says, "Not by works of
righteousness which we have done…" (Titus 3:5).
The accurate basis for
faith is what Christ came to do. That’s what should form the basis for your
believing and confession. 2 Corinthians 4:13 says "We having the same
spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I
spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak." So, it starts with
believing; what do you believe? You ought to speak on the basis of your
believing.
The reason you say,
"I refuse to be sick"; "I refuse to be poor"; "I
refuse to fail" isn’t because you want these things to come to pass;
rather, your focus is on what He’s done for you. He already gave you
health, prosperity, victory, and the good life, and you don’t want to give
them up. So, be conscious of who and what He’s made you. Declare these
beautiful realities about yourself, because He said you should declare who you
are: "…for he hath said…so that we may boldly say…" (Hebrews 13:5-6).
This is the principle of
making that which He already consummated real in your life.
Prayer Dear
Father, I thank you for giving me a beautiful life of dominion, power, and
victory through the Word. I experience success and prosperity in all my affairs
today because I’m in Christ. My life is the manifestation of the excellence,
virtues and perfections of deity, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
