In him
was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness;
and the darkness comprehended it not (John 1:4-5).
It’s not so easy to
describe or define light because light itself is that which defines or
describes. The Word of God being light is therefore that which describes or
defines your true identity and personality. Through studying or learning God’s
Word, you discover more about yourself; you locate yourself in Him.
What do you think about
yourself today? If you use all the lights in the world to define your life, you
may see things that you don’t like. Rather, use God’s light—His Word—that’s the
only light that shows what God sees you to be. No other light shows what and
who Christ is in you. You may use the X-rays and see bones, but only the Word
of God shows the greater One that lives inside you.
The Word of God knows
you. That’s why as you study or hear the Word of God, you will find yourself
making positive changes and adjustments in line with the light that you’ve
received from the Word. That’s because the Word of God is the only true light.
Apart from showing you your endowments and rights in Christ, it also produces
in you such changes that are consistent with His message; leading and directing
you. No wonder the Psalmist said, "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,
and a light unto my path" (Psalm 119:105).
As you study God’s Word
and live by it, you’ll never be confused or uncertain about anything in life.
You’ll have the insight and knowledge to deal excellently in life. You’ll walk
in success, health, prosperity, peace, and strength.
When God looks at you,
He sees you strong, full of the Holy Spirit and power; He sees one with whom
nothing is impossible. See yourself in the same light; walk in the light of
your victory over the world, over the devil and over the circumstances of life!
Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you
for the entrance of your Word into my spirit that illuminates my path in life,
in the direction of your perfect will for me. Through your Word, I’ve received
the light of life; I know, and walk in my inheritance in Christ Jesus. Thank
you for guiding me by your light, in the path of success, victory and
greatness, in Jesus’ Name Amen.
