Pastor Chris
The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows) (John 10:10 AMP).
Every Christian has the right to be happy, prosperous, healthy, and sound.
This is because we’ve been anointed, commissioned and sent of God to minister
the Gospel to those in darkness and bring them into God’s marvellous light.
However, if you’re not enjoying your life; if you’re not happy, healthy, strong,
and fulfilled, you surely can’t help others enjoy the life that Christ brought
to the world. The Lord Jesus clearly stated the reason He came: that we may have
and enjoy life to the full.
Enjoying your life doesn’t mean you must get a holiday and go to the beach
and lie down flat with your chest to the sky. There’s more to enjoying your life
than that, even though there’s nothing wrong if you choose to do that.
Enjoy everything you do. Enjoy your sleep, your food, your work, your home,
etc.! Enjoy yourself every day in God. God chose you for that; it’s what Jesus
died for. So enjoy your life!
If you can’t enjoy yourself, nobody will. Like yourself. Appreciate who you
are. Some people stand in front of the mirror and sadly look at themselves with
disdain. If you don’t like yourself, nobody is going to like you for you.
Learn to enjoy and appreciate other people. God has wonderful people all over
the world and some of them live very close to you; enjoy their presence, their
company and friendship. Some of them may not even be very friendly, but you can
make them enjoyable. Make a choice to enjoy your life. Enjoy everything you do
as long as it’s consistent with a godly life.
Dear Father, I thank you
for giving me all things richly to enjoy. I’m exuberant with joy today, and
gladness fills my heart as I contemplate the life of glory, dominion, abundant
grace and peace that you’ve given me in Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
