Faith In The Word · Tuesday, July 31st · Pastor Chris

And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them (Mark 11:22-24).

Pastor Chris
A dear lady once told the story of how she had taken her daughter for prayers in several places, due to a certain health condition, yet nothing changed. This is one error many Christians ignorantly make. They think their healing or miracle will occur based on the enormity or multiplicity of prayers. No, you don’t get healed by prayers, for the power to heal isn’t in the prayer but in the Word of God, and it’s your faith in the Word that brings healing.
As Christians, we pray because the Word says to do so and shows us how, but the power that works for us is not in the praying but in God to whom we pray. It’s therefore important that you learn how to stand on the Word of God by acting on it for yourself. To effect a change in any negative situation you’ve got to be certain of what the Word says about the situation and demand a change on the basis of God’s Word. This isn’t about prayer; it’s about releasing your faith to receive God’s provision for you.
Jesus said "...If ye have faith, and doubt not…ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done" (Matthew 21:21). He also said, "What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them" (Mark 11:24). So, when you pray desiring healing for your body, believe that you receive that healing and thereafter confess that you’re healed. Your confession shouldn’t be based on whether or not you still feel pain or symptoms in your body but on the Word.
Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you for the understanding I receive from your Word today. I declare that as I live and walk in the light of your Word, sickness, disease and infirmity have no place in my body. Divine health is my birthright and I live in it today and forever, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
