A Divine Ministry · Sunday, June 17th · by Pastor Chris

While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word (Acts 10:44).
Pastor ChrisActs 10 gives us an account of how Peter was led by the Spirit to the house of Cornelius, the Centurion, in the city of Caesarea to bear testimony of the Gospel. The Bible says, as Peter was preaching, the Holy Ghost fell on Cornelius and the members of his household. This happened as they heard Peter speak the Word of God. This experience clearly underlines the power and spirituality of the ministry that has been committed to us as Christians. We’re not alone; the Lord assured us of His presence in us, and with us (John 14:17), at all times (Matthew 28:20).
In Mark 16:20, after the ascension of the Master, the disciples "...went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following...." Observe that they were not alone; the Lord was with them, confirming their words with signs, wonders and miracles. Each time you go out to preach the Gospel, be conscious of the Lord’s presence and His power that’s manifested through the preaching of the Word.
It makes no difference whether you’re on street evangelism or you’re preaching in a bus or in an office or a mall. Be assured that the Holy Ghost "will fall" on them that hear the Word, because you’re not alone. Therefore, be bold to preach the Gospel. Preach salvation; preach that Christ came into the world to save sinners and make them sons of God. Let the unsaved around you know that God’s not counting their sins against them; rather, He has extended His grace for salvation unto all men.
As you go about making these truths known, preaching the message of reconciliation to sinners, the Holy Ghost will fall on all those that hear you. Be conscious of the Lord’s abiding presence, knowing that He’ll never leave nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). The ministry of the Gospel He’s committed to your trust is a divine ministry, which you can only fulfil by the power of His Spirit.
Prayer
Dear Father, thank you for the privilege of being a partaker of this glorious ministry of reconciliation. I’m emboldened and empowered by the knowledge of your indwelling and abiding presence, to preach the Gospel with power today, turning many from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God; in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
