(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were (Romans 4:17).
Romans 8:28 says, "… all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." This means as a Christian, you can’t be disadvantaged, irrespective of the circumstances around you. You may have failed in certain endeavours and now it looks as though things are really in a mess; don’t despair! Raise your head up high with faith and confidence, knowing that your heavenly Father is able to turn any situation around for your good. He’s the God "...who quickeneth the dead..." (Romans 4:17). He can give you a brand new start.
One day, the Lord said to me, "I create destinies; if I have a destiny for a man, and I reveal it to him, I’m not limited to the definition of that destiny. I can create a new destiny." The implication of this is that even though God has a particular plan for your life, He’s not limited to it or by it! He can still create a totally new one for you if you require it; He’s that big! You need to have this understanding of God’s ability; it will change your way of thinking.
This is the reason you shouldn’t compare yourself with others or be envious of those you think have gone ahead of you. Rather, be happy and rejoice about their progress, knowing that you’re running your own race. Remember, the most important thing in life is to know and fulfil God’s plan for your life. So run your race to win; take heed to the destiny which you’ve received in the Lord, that you fulfil it.
Prayer
Blessed Father, I thank you for bringing me into a place of rest, progress, peace and prosperity. I remain joyful and unperturbed amidst adversities because you’ve made me a champion for life; I declare that all things are working together for my good today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
