And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth (John 1:14).

We see the glory of God by beholding the mirror of God, which is the Word of God. As you look at the glory of God in the mirror of God, you’re changed into the same glory that you see in the Word. That means the more you look—meditate or contemplate the glory of God—in the Word of God, the more you become the glory that you see.
John 1:14 says, "And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." Besides giving the Word of God personality, we also observe in this scripture that the Word of God has glory. Notice it says, "…we beheld his glory…" because the Word is a person; He’s glory-personified. Glory is splendor, brightness, beauty, holiness, and purity. The Word of God has all these and much more. Now you can better understand why the Bible refers to Jesus—the Word of God as the brightness of God’s glory—the effulgence and out-shining of His glory.
Jesus is the expression of the glory of God; God gave Him that excellent glory which He in turn gave to us. We have become sharers of His glory: "And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one" (John 17:22). As He (Jesus) is the glory of God, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17). There’s glory in your life; it’s the glory of the Word; walk in the light of that glory.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for your Word that’s a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. As I contemplate the glory of God in the mirror by meditation, I’m metamorphosed into that same image of glory that I see in the Word. My life is full of glory, grace and truth because I’m the offspring of the Word, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
