The Symbol Of True Success · Saturday, July 7th · Pastor Chris

And He said to them, "Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses (Luke 12:15 NKJV).

Pastor ChrisHave you ever asked what true success really is, or what the symbols of true success are? How do you measure success? Do you use the symbols of the world to tell whether you’re successful or not? Some think success is all about making more money or having more influence in the world. You’re not successful just because you’re widely known and celebrated by men, or because you have this world’s goods. True success transcends all of these.
True success is being the man or woman God has called you to be and fulfilling His call on your life, no matter what the people around you think. Whether or not you have the world’s symbol of success, it’s unimportant. True success is to be what God called you to be, because He made you. He’s the only one who knows the reason you’re in this world (1 Peter 2:9).
If a car manufacturer puts a car on the road and the car functions according to the manufacturer’s specifications, then the car is a successful product. But if the manufacturer produces a car and finds that it’s being used for something else other than as a car; maybe it’s being used to store things, then the product is being misused.
Don’t misuse your life! Be who God has called you to be and do what He’s called you to do. Anyone can be seemingly successful in many things here on earth, but that’s insignificant. What counts is to be a success with God. You’re a success in the mind of God when you become that life-changer and blesser that He has made you to be (2 Corinthians 5:19).

Dear Father, thank you for the blessing of your Word in my life today.
